Friends bed in the same room had a 6” dookie stain on the edge. They clearly do not change sheets or wash them. Stay far away, the management doesn’t care about the property.”

“Without a doubt, this is an interesting and unique place to stay. The Frank Lloyd Wright influence is obvious in the hotel and Mason City downtown. Lovely old building that was extensively refurbished over 10 years and well maintained since. We stayed in the hotel on 2 dare a week apart. The first stay was booked directly with the hotel fire a Queen bed and the assigned room was toward the front of the hotel. Our 2nd stay was booked through Expedia selecting a King bed. “The room was very nice and clean. Breakfast was good. The people above us walked very hard which was disturbing in the morning.”

“Thank you for allowing dogs on the property. That is a plus. However, I was there four nights and had no courtesy cleaning of the room and I think that should happen at least every two nights with the provision of extra bath towels, etc..”

“Breakfast was poor at best. Omelets were good but all the bread choices were dried out. Waffle iron did not work. Sausage was greasy. Entrance road to hotel was poorly lit and difficult to drive in at night.”

I have never had an omelet so light and tasteful! The Rose Room had a private balcony, that allowed us to sit outside and enjoy the weather! I definitely will stay there again!”
